Annnnnd with that out of my system, we can move on to yesterday's pleasant surprise. Zazu arrived! You might think she's Zuora, but no. She's Zazu. I'm not sure if I'll actually stick her with that name. *cough*

Weirdness in names aside, she's loverly. Adorable, even. I don't know why I expected her to be at all spooky considering the doll has always looked cute, though a bit perplexed as to why her outfit made people bleed from the eye-type region. So she's not all that spooky unless you catch her from the wrong angle. That split second makes you wonder if dolls could kill, would she need a weapon?

Like Frankie [Cornice], her hair is crinkly. Unlike Frankie, Zazu's hair is pretty soft. If I were the type to condition hair within an inch of its life, that would probably make it pretty spiffy. Alas, I'm not.

As usual, the pictures suck. This is mainly because I could take pictures later and they won't suck, but these will do for now.



The eyes are a bit freaky, color wise. They work, so long as she's not busy looking a bit yellow. Her eyelashes are my favorite thing, but not everyone else feels the same way. You can't please all the people all the time, blah blah blah, so we'll work on pleasing me. And she's spiffy. :D

That's another awful picture, but it's also an awful lot of hair. Dude.


I think she looks more sane with her hood on. Funny, eh?
The detail is pretty damn nifty, considering how often JP totally downsizes when it comes to the fun bits. Her hood is lined with red satiny goodness, there are tons of little metal bits and chains all around various things. She's got two silver skull zipper pulls [they match the one hanging from her skull on the top of the hood] which are of the fun variety.

Sorry for the lack of pictures of her candelabra and boots. You'll either forgive me, have your own, or sit and plot your revenge. Possibly another option will present itself. You'll just have to use your judgment... or something.


I don't hate my job. I don't always love it, but I don't hate it. I do hate feeling like I should be doing something, but having nothing to do. Some people are self starters. Nope. I need someone to give me something to do, and then I'll do it. I'd like to think I do whatever it is well, but I'm not sure. Thing is, if you get me into a routine on something, I'll be able to run through it, no problem. See Saturday nights. If you let me do my own thing, I'll get the tags up by three AM. If you don't, they aren't going to get done by the time I leave.

I spent most of last night feeling like I should be doing something, only... I had no idea what I was supposed to do. Yes, there was a list [of DOOM], but it was for the whole weekend... and there's only so much you can do while keeping an eye on the register. So I did the easy no brainer one. Then I killed some time and filled the mailing section. Naturally every time I walked away, six people would come into the store. *eyes roll out of head* It's all compounded when everyone else has something to work on and you're just kind of standing there trying not to look like a complete jackass. I should point out that I don't mind when it's obvious they've got nothing for me to do and it's cool if I just stand around. But when I feel like I should be up to something? Yeah. Uncool.
