I was watching part of the ANTM marathon I taped... last week? And once more wondered how anyone could look at most of the pictures they chose of Melrose and think, "beautiful!" Deranged psychotic mess? Ja. Beautiful? Not so much.

Fully with you. I'm just like "really? These are the prettiest girls you could find?". And I don't get the love at all of all those skinny, bleached girls that are all gangly and non-propotional. That blind girl, those twins, some other girl I remember hating. I always like the punk-ish ones, but then they get dinged for no personality, even though they're hot and photo well and then they get booted. But I'm still this show's whore. Season premiere this week! Yay!

I liked the idea of the twins, although I would never look at them and think "hello, model!" but at least one of 'em seemed to photograph really, really well. Which I think is my favorite type, the ones you look at and think, "wait, what now?" and then you see a photo and think, "daaaaaamn."

My absolute favorite thing is that every season with the makeovers, they totally screw some chick over to the point where she just can't recover. You know it's coming and yet the judges are always surprised when the girl they effectively mutilate doesn't seem thrilled with her new look. :P

Much as I love the marathons, I find it impossible to watch the seasons as they happen for the most part. I made an exception for the episodes with cuckoo Melrose, but that was more of an accident than anything. It does take the excitement out of the episodes where the winner is in the bottom two, but that's when you hit the bathroom.
