Monday brought us Uncanricky. She's a lovely doll, and I feel about sixty saying "lovely doll." Fantastical? Awesome? Nearly as awesome as I was hoping? Yes, all of the above. I nearly fell off my bed when I realized her eyes were dark blue, and sparkly to boot. Previously I thought BNP's eyes were the prettiest blue, but we have a new winner.
Her outfit is over the top, but in the best sort of way. Love her boots, although it took a little coaxing to fit her feet in them. Luckily, that's what headless bodies are for. Trial and error, obviously. I'll be happy when JP cycle out of their need for "i just bit into a piece of fruit" for color and "lookit the lines on my lips" phase.
She needs a name, as the one name Cassy threw out into the ether isn't really working for me. That said, pictures

Purple lashes and blue eyes. I can die happy. Though see what I mean about the lips? This is less fruit and more, "I bit someone and they tasted kinda yummy. Gimme your wrist, kay, luv?"
In case you wanted the full version of that picture. Her stand is going to take a little getting used to [they revamped them, in case you missed that memo. For the most part, I like it, although who didn't love the fact that the bottom of the older stands would show whether they were wearing underwear underneath their skirts?] so she's standing kinda funny. She'll forgive me, I'm sure.
Hat fantastic. It's going to come off soon, and had to come off to remove the plastic that was mucking with her eyelids, but it's cute as it is. She's cute. Dolly lust is grand.
Outfit goodness! The pouch is attached to the skirt, or else I was hallucinating. Not sure which...
Boots is made for walking?
Or lounging. She's good with either.
Sitting with Gwen, the two decide that Ricky is cute and Gwen is prettiful. Okay, there's no such agreement, but they didn't try to kill one another. Also, decided that no way they're related. Gwen could have a sibling, but Ricky isn't it.
Speaking of Gwen, the other shot of them together. Different shade of blonde, Gwen is infinitely paler, and she's still got some of the most unique eyelashes around. I do wonder if anyone will swap their wigs just to see what they look like though.
Gwen says hey. She's also wearing those loverly pink heels from the Hi Glamm fashion pack, not that you can see them. When next I have money and a burning desire to spend it, remind me I want Julia, okay?
*itches* Stupid stand.
My only real issue with Gwen is that I hate how her bangs land, but I don't trust myself to take her wig off and "fix it"... I tried that with Evie and realized I'm a complete perfectionist freak and that with dolls, that's impossible. Woe. That said, I love photos of Gwen where you can just see her lips because I'm weird... and I hate the bangs. :P
Not that the cut does anything helpful, as it'll still kill all of us in the dial-up nation, but I feel better doing it for some odd reason.
Blair is my Holly. [Duh, I know for those who keep up with these things. Sorry.] She's named for my absolute favorite character in the Gossip Girl series, who has a little thing for Audrey. Hence the brilliance. Anyway, I thought maybe she'd be sort of like GG-Blair, but it didn't work out. She's too meloncholy, and while GG-Blair isn't all fun and light either, Pullip Blair seems on the verge of dolly tears more often than not. Which I think is why I tend to pair her with Poppy, as they work well together. Poor Poppy didn't show up this go round, so Blair sulks.
On the other hand, she did get a new outfit, so really, what more could a doll want, if a doll could in fact want things? New shoes? Oh yeah, those were given, too.
Not that these are the shoes in question. These are currently gracing Frankie's feet.
Frankie tried pulling her hair back, but she doesn't look like... Frankie. She looks mature and not a sarcastic little thing.
Down came the hair, and back came Frankie. I'm thinking the skirt and hair up combo was what was bugging me. One or the other...
Frankie shows off her ability to sit in the chair. Gwen failed miserably, but Posey [Papin] is still the best at it.
And then we have Drta and the case that is currently housing all the extra outfit pieces that the girls haven't snagged yet. I was feeling kinda sick, so Drta is dressed for comfort and not style.
Still cute, tho.
And thus concludes our mini tour through the oddities of my collection.
