calling all book nerds
Jan. 4th, 2008 08:51 amI think my internal censor broke, as I found myself saying something I think my brother would say. Bad, bad Impy! No cake for you.
In other news, it's fucking cold. So cold our mailbox thinks it should be encased in ice. Fantastic, right?
So.
Fucking.
COLD.
But I got paid, so I can pay for Hangry. :D And once I do, I'm all squared away for preorders. It's... an odd feeling. I'm not sure how long my free status will last, as this is usually the time I fall for a doll.
This weekend, I have but one goal. BOOKS. So, you there. The opinionated one in the corner like area. Yes. You. Suggest away. Gift cards burning holes, remember?
Kay. Cold. Must go finish laundry and curl up under something warm. Mmmmm. Warmth.

Sorry, my brain is in kid mode as per usual. Let me think of some adult suggestions too:
anything by Lynn Flewelling (she has two series, both take place in the same world, different time periods)
Lilith Saintcrow is fun (and my buddy)
not sure if it is out yet or how it is, but Midnight Never Comes by Marie Brennan looks REALLY good. My friend is the editor and I managed to nab myself an advanced copy but I haven't read it yet.
