For whatever reason, I was digging through old posts around the time Julian left Charmed. *tear* Good, good bitchy times. So good that I'm almost tempted to redeemn my various points and snag Charmed S5.
Except, of course for the fact that much of S5 sucked and most of my enjoyment came from people tearing it to shreds. That's what I want to relive.
I'm gonna go turn green in the privacy of my own room. I feel like complete crap.
Oh! and happy birthday. :D

Date: 2008-01-14 02:48 pm (UTC)I gotta say, though, the continuity issues just blow my mind. SO many of them! Especially irksome when Paige asked Phoebe how they vanquished the Source the last time, as if she hadn't been there herself. Criminy, they should know the spell by heart. And how hard would it have been for them to vanquish him again now that they knew where he was? They are clearly more powerful than the Source now. They were watching him from hiding. Couldn't they have TK-orbed the crystals around him and the she-bitch before they were aware and then said the spell, thereby re-vanquishing him? Oy! I was disappointed in all three main actresses for that. I'm sorry, I know they are actors and they are just reading lines, but how hard is it for one of them to pipe up and say "this line doesn't make sense. Paige was THERE when the Source was vanquished."
By the way, I just ordered S5 last week. It was the last one I needed and DEFINITELY the worst season. I just call it "the one where Paige had red hair." HAHA!

Date: 2008-01-14 04:01 pm (UTC)I originally planned on snagging S8 the second it came out, and then I found out that they switched the theme music and I died a little. Why didn't they just release it before the licensing ran out? Bother!
I liked the idea of Billie, and I was okay with her, and her quest for Christy, right up until... uh, the one right after Leo goes away. Think that's the one where Billie flounces around whining up a storm, her parents descend, and my brain just blew. I wanted to see Christy sprung from the underworld. No dice. I liked Christy and kept hoping she'd kill Billie [who either became more annoying as the season progressed, or my tolerance just ran out] but loathed that for all I'd wanted to see the Charmed Ones go up against a female big bad, it was some dork of a dude pulling the strings. Kern! *shakes fist*
And now I have to wonder how I forgot/missed that continuity slip. The show was never fantastic with continuity, but as the years went by, they went into freefall.
