For you, T.S, we do the "ohmygod, I lost my debit card" freakout. Found it, but the freakout remains. Then we did the "ohmygod, the phone line, because we are the last known users of dial-up, doesn't work!" Obviously we were mistaken.

I don't know how much more of the April Fool's nature of your birthday I can take. I hope that in giving me mini-heart attacks, the birthday gods are kind and giving you the better stuff. Like, you know, good stuff for your birthday. :D happy birthday! We [well, the cat and I, but mostly me since the cat is, well, a cat] love you for your wit, your enthusiasm, your geekiness in the best possible sense of the word, your generosity, and a whole bunch of other things. I hope today treats you fantastically and that the next year is filled with so many good things your head will spin when you go to count them all. Seriously. Love. Still working on the gift.

and if I got the day wrong, um, I'm blaming someone else. I'm just not sure who that is yet.

G'ah. Today ain't my day. There's that ebay thing [namely, do not say shipping is free due to some ebay promo and then jerk me around. You called me out, ebay. I was just looking at stuff, you made the offer. Now gimme my free shipping so I can pay this poor person already!], the floor did not get scrubbed yesterday [and I was hoping I could sit and rest, but noooooo...], and the widget is already awake.

On the other hand, I'm still drowning in books and I'm one day closer to vacation. Score!

I think I got the heads up from the same person, but when I looked around ebay, on the side of all their listings, they have their stupid "deals" widgety thing, and the thing I wanted [hello, Nolee] was shrieking "free shipping!" Which I gather either they thought it would be funny to advertise it as that, or was s'posed to be part of the three times thing. Which, incidentally, says the exact same thing for me.

So now I get to pay full-frickin' price for something I wouldn't have bought otherwise.
