impyEvery so often I'm reminded that while I love my nephew to bits, I never, ever want children of my own. I'm entirely too selfish and there's a line that he'll push me right up against and I'll snap and it's just not fun.
It's frustrating because he parrots things and you think he's got whatever it is down, but instead he's just got the routine. So. Frustrating. For him, too. And then he wails that he's stupid and he'll never get it, and then he harps on this car he wanted me to buy him, but it was a little more expensive than I wanted, so Mumsy says, "Well, what if he learns his alphabet and thus earns the car?" Yeah, that was a bad idea.
If I hear one more choked cry about that damn car, I'll break something.
