Note to self: Whenever you're feeling down, watch an episode or twenty of The Golden Girls and you'll feel all better. There are very few things this remedy cannot fix. Physical pain and severe emotional pain [as in someone's died] are the only things I can think of. Everything else? At least it'll lessen the pain. Bonus points if you've got ice cream and cheesecake, obviously.
Of course, if you aren't a fan of that particular GG, then we must have words.
For lack of anything better to occupy my mind, I've been pondering TV shows I've loved over the years. Probably because a fair amount of them are on TV at some time or another, be it Lifetime or TV Land in the morning. For instance, there's Night Court, which made me fall in love with Harry Anderson. And it still makes me giggle like a demented school girl, dammit. It was one of those shows my parents would watch and laugh and I'm not sure if they realized I was still in the room or if it was bonding. Either way, it takes a lot for my parents to agree on something being funny. :p

Date: 2008-08-22 01:03 pm (UTC)Assuming a) my memory works and b) that's not just the rumor that floated at the time. I thought Jason Priestley was cute. I never did undestand the massive allure that was Luke Perry.
I try not to dwell on Alyssa as the star of Charmed because, well, it hurts me. Deeply. The show was never meant to be a comedy and yet they changed it to exactly that... for some dumbass reason. Ah, the years I spent trying not to notice her boobs falling out of whatever creation they put her in. *shuts her charmed dorky self up*
MSCL was put out on DVD once before after fans begged and pleaded and I think there may have been the sales of first born. But it was a limited thing and not filled with super fun extras.

Oooh, yes, the later season where every ep was an excuse to pull out a skimpy outfit to show off the funbags. God, I hate her so much. And the cooter tat...*shudder* ;_; Piper was always my fave. ^_^
Where's the Daria boxset then?? Bastards.

Date: 2008-08-23 11:50 am (UTC)I still remember being blinded by the cooter tat in S4 and shrieking about my eyes. I never thought I'd live to see the day when I looked back sort of fondly on S4, but I'll be damned if the later seasons didn't make me do just that.
Brandon will always fall for the troubled girl. And then she'll try to kill him and everyone he holds dear and then a season and a half later, he'll go back to her because she NEEDS him. I totally don't remember the part with Brandon and his first time and creepy Mom antics. I was sad when they wrote the parents out of the show, though now I cannot think of why. Maybe because they were semi sane? *muse*
