Mixed bag

Okay, four days or so until the trip. I tried to get my ID yesterday, only the computers were down. For the whole state. Seriously. sigh. So the one day I was looking kinda sorta okay enough for government identification picture taking purposes... no such luck. So, tomorrow, I guess.

There is only so much Daily Show/Colbert Report I can take before my brain just explodes. Not from them, as I laugh until I think I might die, but then I start to get pissed for what I should imagine are fairly obviously reasons. Just... that much stupidity in the world that can be mocked, day in and day out and it doesn't change. Oh, the agony.

My favorite bit was when they're listing all these reasons she's just horrible and for a second the audience laughs and then they get to the end of the list, and there's this pause as the switch is flipped and they realize, dude, who in the world would think that was a good idea... and so the boo-ing commenced. I think that was the making rape victims pay for their rape kits prompted the "wait, wtf?" moment. And so I had to turn away because ohmylord, why? Why is this even an option?
