Grumble!

New policy in impy world. When someone asks, "Can I ask you a question without you getting mad?" the proper response will be a kick to the shins and then I will walk off. While I've heard more than a few queries that didn't upset me, the ones that do kind of make up for at least two of the ones that do bug me. It doesn't balance favorably at the end of the day. Today's question was, "Do you think you want to get married?" followed by, "Have you thought of ways to meet people since most of your friends seem to already be married..."

That's two questions! I only allowed one, damn it. And now I feel all grumbly. Not in any way one might consider to be good, either. Bother.

I guess I'll clean up a bit then wander off and attempt to Foster's my way out of my funk. If that fails, then there's a reason why the good lord invented rum cookies.

So there'd be rum cookie dough. Duh.

Don't let them make you feel for being single, Impy-poo! Where I am, if you're our age and married it's strange. Better to do it right and in your own time and with the right person than rush into it because everyone else is. *snuggle*

*snugglie* If I get married, it's for one of two things: Stuff! [and everyone will know it] or Forever! I just don't like the knowledge that everyone else around here, and even some who've fled, have found someone they can at least pretend is happily ever after material thrown in my face first thing on a sunday morning after work before I've even had something to nibble.

So you DO think you want to get married, and the anger comes from someone asking you that because they assume you don't want to because you're single? I mean, the second question is just hogwash, but I'm curious about the first.

I'm not sure about getting married. For the longest time I thought I'd rather spork myself in the eye, but I don't feel quite so opposed anymore. At the very least I'd like for someone to want to marry me. :p

But the sky is falling, everyone's getting hitched thing might be because they kind of are around here.

The annoyance definitely came from the neon sign to my single status, as well as the "but everyone else is already married!" And not each of them married badly. And some of the ones I think did, might not actually have done so. I don't actually believe that last bit, but I feel it should be said just in case I'm wrong.
