impyI'm fairly content. I've still got two bills hanging over my pretty little head, but payday is next week and if I'm ever so good for the rest of this and most of next week, I'll be able to wipe those two out in one fell swoop. Woo!
G'ah. Cute makeup on clearance at work. I shall be strong, but still. We'll see if they'll hold it for me until next week. Could happen.
Oh, finished Stray officially yesterday. I say officially because I skipped ahead and read the end before I'd earned it, but not so far back as to keep me from finishing the book anyway. I liked it. I'm not sure how much, if you need stars to guide your way or anything*, but I am going to request the next book in the series, so I'd say that counts for a fair bit.** I still think Faythe is an annoying name [everyone has their quirks] and was/is too old to have made the mistake she did that caused the rest of the book. But I'd like to know more, particularly I'd like to find out if my theory is right.
I love that on Library Thing, I'm the only person using the tag 'cheesetastic'. Hee!
* When Cassy was here Monday night, she used the computer to update her goodreads account and after having gone on for more than an hour [I clocked it] about how absolutely crack-tastic the Hoodlife series is, she promptly gave each book three stars. Three stars is my usual rating for books I actually liked but would not write sonnets about or anything. Most of my library is a solid three star affair. It's love, but not I would die for you. I never did find out what it took to get a two star review from her.
** Please ignore the fact that I've proven to be a bit of a glutton for punishment in other series. :P
