impyAnnnnnnnd now let us play Want/Are You Kidding Me, AG: Lanie version.
Then I'm gonna go drink a ton of OJ and pass out because someone gave me their damn cold. WTF, man.
Here we have most of Lanie's stuff.
You have Lanie herself. I... am not terribly interested. If she'd had any other mold but the 'Classic', I probably would be, though I agree that it's beyond time for the Girl of the Year line to include a black doll. Seriously, Mattel. Anyway. Lanie's cute but I have Ruthie for the curls and I've got two and a half blondes already, so thank you, but there's no room at the inn currently.
Her Garden outfit is pretty cute, but you don't do hardcore gardening in that. That's an outfit for watering your plants and maybe deadheading them or something, not anything that actually involves dirt. For $28, it can stay there.
Butterfly outfit burns my eyes. I do like the butterfly clip that's painted as an actual butterfly, but again, $28 and no thank you.
Her squirrel, owl, and fox (plus more flutterbees!) are loverly if you ignore the squirrel being freakish in size and also? $34. When it goes on sale, I'll buy. Until then, no.
I actually like the hammock, if I'm being honest, but it's a bit similar to Jess's hammock. And I'd really rather have my own than a doll one, so I'll probably pass.
At the bottom you'll see four shirts. They come in sets with a shirt for a little girl. $29 gets you one of those shirts for your doll and one for your kid. Um, no. Thanks, though.
The raccoon in the recycling can? $28 No. Just... no.
Lanie's nightgown is probably going to find its way here sometime when it goes on sale. Monkey wants the monkey (Again with the Jess re-tread!) and I like the nightie even if it's a bit pricey.
Lanie's camper has awesome stuff (sammich fixings!) but is $295 and heavy as hell. So, again, no. I... really do not see this selling all that well, frankly.
Lanie's accessories: Will be mine. No need to wait for a sale. After the cat has been to the vet, I'm buying this. Bunny! Laptop! Letters! Oh yeah.
Next time will probably be more toys. Possibly books? We'll see.

She gets a book (the last couple have gotten two books and an extra boost of stuff in the second half of the year) and lately they seem to have gone for themes. Chrissa's was Bullying is Wrong and Lanie's Green/Get outside, dammit! So she's from the books and just made up, all in one.
