impyNew work pants ordered. (Oddly enough it was cheaper to order them online, ship them to the store, and take total advantage of a coupon code.) Now to wait for them to come in. Despite the fact that I would bet fantastic amounts of money that they're there at the store and they could just pick them up off the shelf. Whatever. Don't care. Have to remember to warn dad that they should be calling. They were basically half price and I seriously need a new pair. I should have bought two pairs, but I am thinking new shoes are more important than the extra pants at this particular moment in time. *muse* I'll look for those in a bit.

1bruce1 about the new book that comes out next year. 10 years after the fall of SVH... er, I mean... Who knows what I mean. First the introduction is incredibly long. Who the fuck cares how many locks Elizabeth has on the door of her apartment in NYC? And yes, I'm the same person who notes the tiniest little detail like that when I recap a book, and even I don't want to wait the paragraph it takes for her to hit two out of three locks. I get it. It's NYC. There's a ton of locks! And look, she grew an inch because for decades she was 5'6". Some people are freaking out but I grew an inch in my late teens/early twenties, so I don't see it as being outside the realm of possibility.
What I do see as outside the realm of possibility is Elizabeth Freakin' Wakefield seriously considering, for more than a second, sleeping with her boss just to keep him from asking further questions about why she didn't answer Jessica's phonecall. Which leads us to learning that she cries after her orgasms and that's just... I accept this level of TMI from my friends because, well, they're my friends. But Liz? Where you been for the last decade? You don't call, you don't write, you don't even send a postcard. And you're younger than I am now and that's just fucked up.
I don't get how it's possible for her to be "best friends" with Bruce Patman. Maybe because I think of best friends as warmer and cuddlier than I would ever imagine Bruce?
I don't really _want_ this to happen, except I'd get total bragging rights, but I've got five bucks that says Todd knocked Jessica up. Who is with me on that? Anyone?
Hey. Barnes and Noble! Fuck you. I pre-ordered my Tori crack as soon as it was announced and yesterday you canceled my fucking order. Which I would understand if your stupid site weren't telling me I could totally order it RIGHT NOW and pick it up at the store, so long as I was willing to pay more than my pre-order was for. WTF, man. Out of the three stores in my area, it's available at two of them. I want my effing pre-order price, I want my DVD, and I want it fucking now. Just because you want to weasel out of me getting it cheaper does not mean I'm going to let you.
That's right. I, the shyest, meekest, quietest little mouse around? Totally willing to throw down just to get my DVD for, what, like three-to-five bucks cheaper.

Which reads as "Oops, we ran out. You were at the bottom of the list. Sorry!" Which would tick me off, but I could deal with except for kicks I looked to see if it was sold out online. It's not. It's also not sold out at the store nearest me.
Apparently I'm not the only one who got shuffled off the list of pre-orders for a cheaper price for whatever reason. But it doesn't mean I have to be any happier about it.
