Return of the meme! Day 6

impySoooooo... I was dragging my feet. Partly due to lack of sleep and partly because I'm getting close to the streak of questions I cannot answer for awhile. To make up for it, I plan on throwing in random cute things. We'll see how much of a slacker I am in that department.
Day 6 - Favourite couple:
If it had said "relationship" we'd be looking a much different answer. But they want a couple and instead of making one up, or reading too much into things, I will give you my standard answer and the not so standard reasoning behind it.
Haruka and Michiru is the standard answer.
To be fair, there really aren't a ton of couples in the series to choose from. Not serious couples, anyway. I think Tuxedo Mask is a bit of a jerk in almost any form and I haven't hit the parts in the anime where he's not so... that strikes out the big one, leaving me with one of two semi-serious answers. I could have gone with Artemis and Luna. I think they're adorable together, even with his odd fashion choices for a human.
But the thing is, I like the fact that Haruka and Michiru happens to be an option, plus you can make a thousand kissing cousins jokes due to the dub.
The opportunity for mockery is always nice.
But what really pushes them to the front of the pack is that they make so many people deliriously happy. For a couple of years I was part of a mailing list that was devoted to the musicals and I'd check in every couple of months to read what had been going on. The BNFs on the list were die hard H/M 'shippers and adored the fact that the musicals fleshed out the relationship in so many ways.
I try not to call someone's actions cute over the internet, but the way these women (usually) were just so happy to have this couple, in ANY format, was... it made you happy to see them so happy. The fact that the couple in question was pretty damn spiffy? Yeah, that didn't hurt.
Plus you don't have to worry about them dying because they're lesbians. They die because everyone frickin' dies in Sailormoon. It's the law.
This is just cute. I don't know why. It just is.

Further reasoning needed? They attempt to do what they think is the right thing, and keep to their mission no matter what the cost to each other. They cannot do this. They get jealous of each other's flirtations, they actually seem to really love one another, and when they set up house with Pluto and Saturn, I die at the adorableness of it all. I really, truly do.
Mostly I've been trying to avoid fan-art of any variety but this, this kind of sums it all up for me.
