So an unusual side effect of Dad's death is my inability to get good and properly lost in a book six days out of seven. Anything longer than, say, two hundred pages and I just... it takes forever. I lack the ability to concentrate for that long. At first I thought it was because the AC was broken. No. Then I chalked it up to the sinus infection from hell. But that's gone *knocks on wood* and anything longer than a BSC book or a non-super SVH and it takes me forever.
As a result, I get a little cranky because I can't get my book nerd on properly. It's just so strange for me.
You'd think I'd be ODing on TV, figuring that nature wouldn't take without giving, right? No. I mean, yes, I can still mainline NCIS so long as USA is cooperative, and I can usually sit through a couple of episodes of Bones, moreso if I've got a nice drink (booze, non booze, doesn't matter) but I pretty much lost major interest in my TV shows back in February.
The exception to this rule is PLL, and as it's Wednesday morning, I bring you an extremely abbrievated round-up.
Okay, dude, wait. Maya's family moved into the DiLaurentis house, so how can Jason be there? Maya's family didn't move out. o_O Then I thought maybe they were just pretending Maya didn't exist, but Emily mentions her in the movie theatre. She moved into Ali's house. Her family sent HER away. They didn't move. Then I thought maybe Jason moved into a house that didn't used to be his; it's not like a murder wouldn't prompt at least one other neighbor to move, right? No. They kept saying "back in that house" which implies he's back in his old house. So again I ask, where the fuck is Maya's family?
"Don't you watch the news, read a newspaper?"
"No."
I know I shouldn't, but I love Mona. Even when she does bitchy things, and even when she was book!A1, she still wanted to be Hanna's friend. It's just that she goes about things in absolutely the wrong way.
I understand that Aria is upset about Ezra's ex, but she's just about to get the 'ship she wanted and she's just letting it slip away. In fact, she's throwing it away. That said, I'm not really sure that his last day at the school, as he's packing his car to leave, is the best time to literally throw yourself at him, little A.
Poor Toby is screwed as long as Ali's death remains a mystery.
New!Jason looks more like Ali, but he's also making me want to punch him. So... whose body was he disposing of, and I swear it looked like he was doing that shit right in the front yard. o_O Current guess, Jason killed Ian and that's why he was so frantic to find out if Ian confessed or not. I reserve the right to change my guesses at any time.
Also, Spencer, I beg to differ as to who else would want the videos erased. Hello, her name is Jenna, and in them she's sexually harassing her step-brother. I'd say she and her boyfriend would both like those videos to be destroyed as much as Ian would, if not more.
Oh, and Emily's storyline involved her being told that if she moves to a lesser district, her changes of getting into Danby aren't as good as they are if she stays put. Emily thinks this is enough to get her mother to stay in Rosewood. It's not. Pam wants something more concrete, but the scout can't give it to her. So does Emily lie or does she hope that a 'maybe' letter is enough to keep her family from moving to Texas? Oh, and she's dating someone else. With the exception of Spencer, Emily goes through the most love interests in this show.
Oh, and Hanna's dad is back and he may or may not be hitting on his ex-wife.
Originally there was more to this but I got distracted and well, disjointed funtimes for none!
