impyBig box of toys arrived. :D Well. Not huge, actually, but still, four new shinies. And USPS or Fedex thoughtfully put the box in a plastic bag so the contents wouldn't be ruined. I do so love a nice touch like that. Makes me want to swim out to the mail truck and thank them.
Haven't deboxed anyone (almost bedtime again) but initial impressions are as follows:
Dead Tired w2:
Abbey: Mine has a case of wonky-tusks. They're still cute but definitely wonky. Abbey is very cute with her pint of Ice Scream or whatever, though I must admit that she's very similar to first Abbey. Or she seems that way, anyway. (Sometimes they seem similar until you put them side by side and then you wonder what you were on when you thought they looked alike.) She's prettifuls but I think I'm the only person on earth who didn't think her nightie was the cutest thing ever. *shrug* Still! New Abbey is to be celebrated, yes? Yes.
Draculaura: Mine needs a bath. Her bangs are very fluffy and she's got bits of hair stuck to the underside of her lips, which is a bit weird. Also, her mouth is very, very teeny. It's really kind of adorable. She looks surprisingly different from the first DT Draculaura with her eyes and the itty bitty mouth. I still don't understand why they made her, though.
Clawdeen: She I understand the need for her. I do not understand why she comes with a makeup compact instead of the scary movie they're allegedly watching, but hey. She's freakishly pretty. Even Mums got a bit starry eyed at her. :D
Overall, the second wave of DT isn't as awesome as the first and I'm not entirely sure why. I think it's the lack of a card as well as the knowledge that they skimped out on the stands, too. When MH tries, they include awesome details. When they don't, it's disappointing because you've come to expect them.
Dot Dead Gorgeous: Lagoona
Sooooooo I must confess that neither she nor the RM Lagoona seemed as thrilling as previous Lagoonas. I was WRONG. DDG Lagoona is pretty enough to overcome the sadness making of her having recycled artwork. Her necklaces look like three separate ones (not sure if they actually are, but they look like they are), her outfit is exceptionally cute, and while I don't really get the curls, I don't caaaaaare. She's so pretty! Now I'm far more excited about finding Operetta and Spectra.
Figures, right? The one you were meh on is the one you fall for hardest.

I'm hoping Draculaura's hair issues are resolved when she gets her bath. I'll be pretty ticked if the haircut she obviously received within seconds of being boxed means her makeup is borked permanently.
