impyWHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?
They'd begun hyping the midseason finale with all this crap about the betrAyal. I dunno, I waited til last week to marathon the last five or so episodes until this week's finale. I knew I couldn't watch it on ABCFamily's site because they spoil the fuck out everything right there on the home page, so... yes. I also knew I couldn't go anywhere near facebook because I know at least one person who watches it as it airs and I've got various PLL feeds there, so spoilers ahoy.
Watched this morning.
HOLYFUCK.
I'd had some of it spoiled by someone using logic to answer who killed Maya (and I believed it) but I also knew the ending was supposed to be jawdropping. It's what they do for this show. Cliffhangers, man.
Guys. GUYS.
The moral compass of the show is working with the bad guys. They might even BE bad and not just a minion.
I cannot explain how much this makes me not want to watch anymore. I don't want to be the person who is all "things aren't working out the way I want them to so I'm taking my toys and going home" about a plot twist, but when you fuck with the moral compass, you've pretty much just guaranteed that things are going to get fucked up.
And not in a good way.
Not at all.
So. Here's the deal, ABCFamily. You make this a double-cross and I won't declare this Jumping The Fucking Shark. I will declare you brilliant for the double cross, even. You make this an actual thing and I'll be forced to stop referring people to your show. Instead, I will prance around screaming that people should avoid, avoid, avoid because some things should be sacred. There should be some point/some person/some thing you don't go there with, and currently you have gone there and then some.
I'm not left wanting to see more, I'm left shrieking "nonononononononononoDONOTWANTnonononononono!"
And your lame start to Pretty Dirty Secrets didn't help matters either.
