What time is it? Random roundup time!

Today it's time for another random stuff roundup. Wherein I blather on about, you guessed it, random stuff.
1. If you shop at Walgreens and haven't heard, they're unleashing Balance Rewards which is their loyalty card program. I'd call it the W card, only that's something else. :P Anyway, you can sign up online and go cardless (you'll just either have the cashier scan your smartphone's virtual card or you'll enter your phone number on the debit/credit pinpad) or you can sign up and get an actual card on Sunday, September 16th. If you sign up online you won't get a card (though later you can have one added to your account; they will not be mailing you one, however) but you could win extra points.
This is important because: As of September 30th, to get any sale item for the sale price, you'll have to be a member of the Balance Rewards program. Please do not take your paranoia out on your cashier; they don't like it any more than you do.
On the less paranoid side, you'll earn points on most of your purchases (gift cards, tobacco, alcohol, dairy, and postage stamps are not eligible for either earning or redeeming points) and once you hit 5,000 points you can redeem your points and use them essentially like cash. (That'd be $5.) You can redeem up to 40,000 points ($50) in one transaction but you cannot redeem and earn in the same transaction.
Essentially: Sign up, swipe your card/enter your phone number each time you shop, earn points, redeem points to buy shiny things. Be nice to your cashier.
Normally I don't do these types of things for work, but in this case I know some of you actually shop at Walgreens and not all of you are crazy coupon people so you might not know.
Personally, I'm a little ambivalent about the whole thing because for all the pluses, there are some serious minuses going on. Namely, I'll still have to scan store coupons (weekly ones) for people. Sigh. On the other hand, I like free stuff.
2. In that same vein, it is creepy as hell to get an email from a company you just shopped at and have them recommending things that you just bought. o_O (In this case, it's Walmart telling me to buy another flavor of Gatorade and kitty litter.) Creepy!
3. My MLP trade is not going well. I'm not sure if my end showed up there or not, but I am still waiting for Sassaflash. :/ WOE.
4. Ozma kitty has taken to hopping up on the chair and trying to peer over my shoulder at the computer like "hey, whatcha doin'?" The cute, it burns!
5. I'm trying to grow my nails out. This would be easier if they didn't grow in weird. Must not bite nails! I have too many nailpolishes to not use them now.
6. I hate allergies. I went decades without having them and now, now I'm sneezy. It's no fun.

I actually don't like long nails, myself (comes from too many years of playing musical instruments, LOL, when long nails just hinder you), but good luck as you try to grow yours out! Mine start peeling at a certain length and its just not that great :( though it does give me an excuse to change my manicure often, LOL.
Allergies are of the devil, I tell you. My kingdom for a Claritin-D!
