I am fairly certain that unless she decides to rally just to keep us all on our toes, the Kali cat is dying. She's the oldest cat I've ever had (she's at least 17 and we've had her for most of that) and honestly, I didn't expect her to live much past Dad dying because I thought she'd die of a broken heart.

Which just goes to show how much I know, huh?

Oh, no. I'm so sorry. This is the worst thing about having pets, and it just never gets easier. In fact I think sometimes when they live so long it's that much harder to say goodbye. My own two cats are starting to get up there too and the thought of them not being around someday is incredibly heartbreaking. I try not to think about it. I hope for your sake (and Kali's of course) that when she goes it's peacefully and without pain.

It really is the worst thing about having pets. :/ She died this morning and I can't say I was too surprised she didn't make it until morning.
