impyTwo things.
One: My store got the matte Wet n Wild polishes in! Eeee! I bought them all except for the brown one. I regret nothing.
Two: BeForever is coming, BeForever is coming!
Some people got this lovely image in their email yesterday. It was also accompanied by a coupon you can use in store or online that will take $20 off an order of $100 or more. Or you can go and get a book for freesies or something. Normally books would get my attention first but I don't live close enough to a store to make it worth paying attention to, really.
We link sources whenever possible.
The downside is that the code expires on 8/25, which is before the launch. Which is the point, I imagine, to help clear out their backstock of things.

I... kinda hate yellow and flowers and it's really a wonder Ivy and I get along given my heebie jeebies over a lot of the 70's stuff. Soooooooo... I'm not really sold on this. It's cute enough and probably actually cuter than her current meet outfit, but I don't luffs it or anything special. I would very much like to see the shoes though.
Samantha: That bow is entirely too small and I hate that it's attached to a pony-o thing because that's lame and even harder to work than managing a decent bow to begin with. D: I still think the collar should be wider/bigger like the book cover, but I can't lie: I'll wind up buying this when they sell it separately.
Kit: I still waffle on how cute I find this but I'm pretty sure Sonali will look fabulous in it soooooo... it'll also wind up in my cart come BF day (or whenever they start offering them for sale).
Josefina: Errrrm... I think this one is a decided downgrade, actually. :/ It's really similar to her original Meet Outfit, only not as pretty.
Addy: GIMME. NOW. While everyone else is trying to figure out if they've lightened her skin or feathered her eyebrows I ignore that and run right to the dress. I don't think this image is going to tell you anything totally accurate color wise so I'm just enjoying the pretty.
Rebecca: Did she get the shoes everyone thought Sam was going to get based on the bookcovers? Hrmm. I love so much about this aside from possibly the shoes (not really sure) but I do mourn the loss of her boots. To the point that I am seriously considering using that code to buy some stuff.
But seriously, I love Becca here so very much. Purple! So pretty! If I didn't have Hannah (my custom #53 with MG's hair) I would probably throw all my money Rebecca's way. As it is, I want the outfit... and the doll.
Caroline: Is the same, yes?
Kaya: I think, like Josefina, they tinkered with the color of the outfit. Kaya looks a little put out by all this, actually. Probably because I've been thisclose to buying her about seven times already. :P
I think the shot works overall, though. It makes the historicals look vibrant and interesting, not musty or locked away in the past. If you were flipping through a magazine and came across this spread, you'd probably stop for at least a second due to the colors. I hope that the line does well and that this is the shot in the arm they've needed for awhile.
I'm also more than a little excited for the launch. But you knew that much already. ;)
Now I'm off to see if I want to order something before BF launches or if I want to save allllllll my money for the new packaging...

Date: 2014-08-26 01:37 am (UTC)And I kind of love Julie's new outfit. I like yellow and I like the flowered pants. Most of her clothes are hideous but this one is cute.
Samantha will be coming home to me eventually, since I never had her as a kid and this one is adorable.
Damn it. I do NOT have the space for three more dolls. :P
