impyAll I wanted to do was look at the lights and instead I get foggy rain and things that may or may not have actually happened while walking the dog.
We may have run into two scary lookin' guys on skateboards (which isn't normally a thing I would ever say, but it was dark and they were gliding and kept circling and not saying anything. It was unnerving.) who were pretty clearly enjoying their pot... three doors down from the cop's house.
I couldn't decide if the pot made them less threatening or not, but once the dog basically walked right over to me and wouldn't leave my side, I figured she was telling me it was time to take the long way home and not go by them, just in case. Yeah, unfortunately that left us with two options. One would dump us off much closer to home, but it would be on the other side of the area the guys were circling. We'd skip one dark part of the street but we'd also skip most of the light, too.
The other option was to pray I remembered how to get back to the main street and go that way and really go the long way around.
I decided on that one because of the aforementioned drop off point and also, I remembered there was another cop house.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure we stumbled across someone either robbing a house or doing something they shouldn't to someone else's house because as soon as we appeared, their car just peeled out of the driveway and down the street. o_O
I'm not doing the long way again because we kept nearly getting run over by a thousand cars (where, where did you all come from?) and when I'd try and walk on the grass, my shoes kept nearly getting sucked off my feet due to ooze masquerading as mud.
And to round out our little Christmas horror flick, there was a house with a life size nativity scene. Only some of the participents had no faces. It was creepy as hell. Had I not left my phone at home, I might've tried to take a picture.
Creepy.
Made it home safely. Funny how the 3am trips are just fine, but the 8pm trip is just a never ending parade of weird. (Special thanks to the guy throwing glass bottles on the ground for fun and the smoke that just appeared out of nowhere.)
