Update on the bookcase

impyNo pictures yet but my evil plan seems to be working. I replaced my little open bookcase with a taller and wider version. I'll miss my little one because I adored it but it was always meant to have a second one bought and added to it but then it was clearanced and never was seen again. :( I'll really miss the rounded corners, but I hope the boy learns to love it as I did.
The new pair combined into one big version and it's pretty snazzy in most ways. The corners aren't rounded and are, in fact, a little too sharp, but the shelves are wider and I did get to add an extra two shelves for height, so I've got more room. But now I'm at that stage where you don't want to put things on wrong so you're kind of dithering on what to do. Part of this is because since it's taller than the last one, it's covering my Sailormoon picture. Sort of. It's actually perfectly situated between two shelves so if I don't put any dolls on that shelf you can still see it. And that's the shelf that's the perfect height. So I'm thinking I might kind of rotate my favorites in and out of that shelf and fill up the others? We'll see.
While moving everyone around, I realized a couple of things:
1) Glue head is real and is going to require some work this vacation.
2) Dust is a bitch to get rid of. :P I tried for the top shelf but then I just got tired and didn't bother on the other two shelves.
If you've ever wanted to see something from the collection of meeeeee, you should put in those orders now. :P My stickied checklist is pretty up to date or you could ask and we'll see what we can do.
Unrelated: don't you hate it when you do something wrong at work and it's not even a big thing and no one cares but you can't forget it and you keep obsessing even though the logical part of your brain is telling you to SHUT UP, IT'S FINE, DAMMIT.

A few months ago I had to open and put the door key in my pocket and forgot to put it back in the safe and my phone died, so the person closing up that night couldn't get a hold of me and had to call in someone else and when I realized that morning it was just the fucking worst feeling of like SHIIIIIIIIT!! He must've been running around like crazy, I don't even know what they did, UGH!! So I was just a mess going in to work and I cried at my desk this morning and when they realized everyone's like "What's wrong?? Did a cat die or something?" and I was like "No! I fucked up and feel really bad about it" and they're all O_o, it's not a big deal we were just gonna give you some grief, and I was just like in 9 years, I've NEVER done that before and I can't believe I didn't realize, etc" So yeah, I feel ya there. :(

I'm a little concerned that it's a bit more wobbly than the previous one but once Ozma can't hop up on the second shelf I'll stop worrying as much. But that's gonna have to wait til I feel like freeing some of them from the closet.
It works pretty well for the dolls with stands or who can sit on the edge.
