My eyes, my eyes

...G'ah. I thought I was just heading out to the north area to pick out some new frames, get my insurance to pay for new glasses, and call it a day. Stop at the grocery store on the way home and maybe hit a Target or a dollar store just to see if I could pick up some Christmas spirit in the form of looking at shiny things not necessarily sold at work.
Nope. Gotta get a new prescription because the place I got my eyes checked last time? Only good for a year. Sigh. I hate getting my eyes checked because it always feels like I'm going to fail. I don't know if I just went to one too many doctors who were kinda sucky (last year's was great, actually) or what, but there's some serious stress when it comes to getting my eyes checked. I guess part of it is the fear they're going to find something horribly wrong and part of it is "oh, look, another inch added to your lenses. That's cool, right?"
I hope I don't have to get my eyes dilated. If I don't, I should be good. Otherwise, so annoyed.
