Oh look. I finally did part two. I'm so proud of me. :P Anyway, I was going to include the new Bitty stuff but it's still far too fug for me to want to stare too long into the abyss. If you want to see it, it's pretty easy to find in the "What's New" section on the site. Just scroll down til you hit Bitties, really.

Wellie Wishers
This is gonna be an abbreviated section for a few reasons, not the least of which is because I kind of already went over some of this stuff before. (And yes, I was first and yes, that totally matters to you. :P )

Willa Doll
Item #DNJ70 // $60

Willa has a love for animals. She’s sure to be the first one up a tree—and the last to turn away a furry friend. This 14.5" (36.8 cm) doll is sized just right for younger girls. She has hazel eyes and silky strawberry-blond hair in long pigtails that can be brushed and styled. Plastic/vinyl. Includes:
A hedgehog tee with a sweet printed face and dimensional ears
A green hedgehog-print skirt trimmed in satin ribbon
A cute headband with fabric bunny ears
Light-pink underwear
Red wellie boots with sweet ladybug faces

Willa is easily the most popular doll out of the WW crew. Everyone and their hamster has bought her and she's sold out in stores at times and basically this is the Samantha of the group. You've been warned. I will also warn you that apparently she's got a horrible case of the short hairs on her wig and that when left to the original pigtail style, it's really noticeable. This might be a deal breaker for some, it might also be something AG fixes with their next round of dolls (like McKenna got her wig fixed a few months into her run).

Ashlyn Doll
Item #DNJ68 // $60

Ashlyn is a princess-in-training (and party-planner extraordinaire). She’s just the one to turn a friend’s frown upside-down. This 14.5" (36.8 cm) doll is sized just right for younger girls. She has brown eyes, freckled cheeks, and long silky brown hair that can be brushed and styled. Plastic/vinyl. Includes:
A fancy pink top with lace print, a Peter Pan collar, and golden satin ribbon
A tiered pink skirt with golden ribbon trim
A pretty pink tiara
Light-pink underwear
Pink wellie boots made to look like glittery golden Mary Janes

Ashlyn is very clearly the second favorite because I've seen almost as many Ashs as I have Willas. If you get her and want to keep her tiara, don't leave it on her head when moving her around. More than one little (or not so little) girl has carried Ash for a couple of steps only to lose the tiara.
I waffle on Ash because in the WW group pic that's all over the AG site, she looks adorable. I've seen some store shots where she's cute as can be. I've seen one redressed shot where she's stunning. But every other picture makes her look like the AG version of Dora and other people have noticed it, too. I'm curious as to whether this is something that will continue to baffle me or if I'll get used to it because FRECKLES.

Kendall Doll
Item #DNJ69 // $60

Kendall is creative—she’s always drawing and inventing. Leave it to her to patch friendly mix-ups with smiles, patience, and a handmade card. This 14.5" (36.8 cm) doll is sized just right for younger girls. She has deep-brown eyes and curly black hair in pigtails. Plastic/vinyl. Includes:
An orange-and-white striped tee with a bold pink floral print bow
A light-blue skirt with white polka dots, a floral border, and blue tulle peeking out at the hem
A pink floral-print bow headband to show off her curls
Light-pink underwear
Bright-pink floral wellie boots

I'm coming to terms with Kendall's outfit. I still don't really love the bow on the top or how the wellies look with the outfit but baby steps, I suppose. I don't have a warning so much for Kendall, but I do have an observation. On the few K's I've seen pictures of that aren't stock (and even on some of the stock shots), her eyes photograph very, very flat. Like the color is washed out or cloudy. If the eye thing is sorted out (either proven to be a trick of the light or actually dealt with), she or Camille is likely to be my second, assuming Em is as much love as I think she'll be.

 photo emerson_zps3usk7w6o.png
Emerson Doll
Item #DNJ72 // $60

Emerson loves the spotlight—and the spotlight loves her right back. She loves to make her friends smile with funny jokes, original dance routines, and show-stopping songs. This 14.5" (36.8 cm) doll is sized just right for younger girls. She has dark-brown eyes and black hair in curly pigtails. Plastic/vinyl. Includes:
A striped dancer’s top
A shimmery bright-pink tulle skirt printed with silvery dots and purple stars
Two bright-pink hair ties with tulle ribbons
Light-pink underwear
Pink wellie boots made to look like a ballerina’s toe shoes

I am a sad, sad panda because while Emerson usually takes in a sold third place in the various polls (so sad), I've yet to see someone actually have Emerson. Everyone else has appeared in owner shots but it seems all the Emerson fans bought theirs online. :P Okay, after poking through the Wellie Wishers... whatever on IG, I saw two. Sorta. One was so cute (little girl and her lookalike Emerson) that I died for a few minutes.

Camille was previously discussed in the last go round. She seems even cuter in owner photos.

If you're keeping track, popularity in terms of buying power seems to go:
Willa ---> Ashlyn --> Kendall --> Camille --- > Emerson
with a significant gap between Willa and Ashlyn and Camille and Emerson. For now, anyway.

Wellie Stuff:

Ladybug Brush
Item#DNG55 // $8

This sweet, smiley ladybug brush wants to help smooth the WellieWishers’ hair. The head and underside are green, and the wings are light pink with darker pink spots.
Please note:
Recommended only for WellieWishers dolls with straight or wavy hair. Finger-styling works best for curly hair.

I'm gonna pass because cute as the brush is, I'd rather just get a regular doll/wig brush, k?

WellieWishers Playhouse
Item#DNG53 // $250

This beautiful wooden playhouse is the WellieWishers’ favorite place to play make-believe. The front has a Dutch door, curtains on windows that open and close, a mailbox, and a pull-string to ring the doorbell. Up above, the loft is perfect for afternoon naps. It has a curtain to close when sleepyheads need rest, and there’s even a little bird and nest that sit in the window. The set comes with 33 pieces, including:
A pink bench
A mud kitchen with supplies for pretend mud pies—two pie tins, a ladle, and measuring spoons
Felt fillings and toppings for the pretend mud pies: flowers, tree leaves, acorns, a sunflower, green leaves, two pie crusts, and two pie toppings
Gardening tools: a shovel, a spade, a rake, and a watering can
A mattress and pillow for the nap loft
Two baskets and a bundle of sunflowers
A poster and a playhouse sign

Man, people lost their absolute minds over the idea of the mud pies. I mean, yeah, it's hard to be more kid appropriate than mud pies, but they're pieces of felt. God do I hate felt. I can't even think of the word without feeling the really cheap stuff they pawn off on kids all the time and honestly, I'd believe you if you told me all felt was awful. Ugh. Just ugh.
Moving along from that little tangent, this is a cute idea but the price is solidly AG. To be fair, I could totally see them charging more for it so it's obvious they're trying to reign that craziness in a smidge but still. My favorite bit has to be the loft. I like the fox pillow and the bird/nest and the way it sneaks in a bed for the Wellies if that's your thing. So while I will never be buying this, I still think it's cute.

Nature Explorer Set
Item#DNG47 // $24

Your little one can help her WellieWishers doll explore the garden with Willa’s favorite set! It includes:
Pretend binoculars
A toy canteen
A make-believe compass for leading the way
A bird guide
A pretend granola bar
An acorn-shaped felt bag

FELT. WHY. That aside, I seriously considered this as an accessory set with Emerson. However, it turns out the bird guide is crap (not a bird pictured, why?) and the compass falls apart. The binoculars are supposed to be fun, though, and the toy canteen isn't bad for what it is. Ultimately this is a pass for me since it feels like something you'd get at Target only there you'd get waaaaaaaaaay more for the price.

We discussed the Ocean Treasures Set previously. (The seahorse and seashell are adorable but the mass confusion on the tail is amusing!)

Tea for Two Party Set
Item#DNG46 // $24

Tea for two? Don't mind if I do. The WellieWishers’ tea set is made for make-believe. It includes an adorable yellow teapot in the shape of an owl, plus playfully mismatched place settings: two plates, two cups and saucers, two forks and spoons, two folded napkins, and two colorful placemats.
You interested in this set? Don't be unless you wanna spend that money on the owl teapot, cups, and the silverware. The placemats and plates are paper. The 'napkins' are crepe paper and shred immediately because crepe paper isn't really all that durable when it's not attached to a roll with 90 feet of its friends. Basically, for adults this is vexing but all it takes is one tea cup with water spilling and POOF, half the set is gone. AG, no. Just no. You have done better and you should do better.

Make It Great Playset
Item#DNG48 // $24

When the WellieWishers want to tinker and create, Kendall’s favorite set helps them make it great. Includes:
A doll-sized pocket apron with pom-pom trim
A tiny pretend pencil
Pretend scissors
A notepad for jotting down ideas
A ladybug tape measure
A play hammer
Safety goggles

Ah, laziness means I've already gotten this set in the mail. :P I'm not going to tell you it's worth $24 because a) I've already said it wasn't and b) it isn't. It's not really even worth $19, but it's pretty close to that in AG bucks. The pretend pencil is the worst part of it and I'm a little sad there isn't a little more heft to the play hammer (and I'm talking just a heavier plastic or something) but we'll get into that later. I maaaaaaay have bought this set for that little hammer and the tape measure.

We talked about the Giggles and Grins Playset before. Rubber chicken!

Carrot and Hutch
Item#DNG51 // $42

The WellieWishers play with this cute bunny every time they visit the garden! Carrot has a sweet embroidered face and soft fur. This set also includes a brightly colored hutch with a door that opens into a ramp, Carrot’s name sign to hang on the side, a bundle of pretend carrots with a food bowl, and a fun carrot-shaped water dispenser.
I'm gonna agree with Lori that this is painfully overpriced. It doesn't help that you can get Julie's bunny, Nutmeg for $24. Sure, you don't get a hutch, but you do get a cute basket and the same carrots, though likely in another size. Now, AG, if you'd given me a hamster paradise setup, we could talk.
Now I just want another toy bunny for the army. Nutmeg, you're up cuz while Carrot is adorable, I can live without the hutch.

Garden Theater Stage
Item#DNG52 // $90

The WellieWishers love to put on shows! Everybody's special talents get to shine on this garden theater stage. It comes with:
A 20.25" (51.4 cm) trellis with latticed sides, a theater sign, and four pretend vines from Aunt Miranda's garden
Bright-pink curtains that hang by six clothespins from a rope
A reversible backdrop with night-and-day garden scenes
Two mason-jar lights that hang from the trellis (they really work!)
5 stand-up stage props, including a tree, a fence, and some floral bushes with little garden friends

I... like the idea. I like the night scenes and I dig the mason jar lights. The price tag is ridiculous even for AG standards, but it is reminding me of this glow in the dark Muppet Babies book I had when I was a kid so there's points for that.

Showtime Ballet Costume
Item#DNK67 // $24

Emerson adores performing in this shimmery ballet recital dress. It has an iridescent double-layered skirt, and gathered off-shoulder sleeves with shiny straps and trim. The outfit comes with a matching headband with a pleated iridescent headpiece, plus a pair of ballet shoes with purple bows.
Had this been part of the Doll/Accessory 'sale', I would have bought it. I hate the shoes because AG has conditioned me to expect better, though I do get that for little little kids plastic shoes make sense. But I like grey and sparkles and purple and Emerson. I might cave and buy this before the free shipping goes away. I might not. It is my favorite of all the outfits that come with dolls, however there are only what, three outfits? So the bar isn't super high for that honor. :P

Enchanted PJs
Item#DNJ86 // $24

The WellieWishers can dream of playtime in these pajamas. The doll-sized top and matching pants feature a garden-map print and satin ribbon trim. Cozy green slippers have cute embroidered birds at the toes.
Enh? They aren't bad but they aren't killing me with cuteness either. Which is weird because I'm pretty sure by now my wallet could tell you horror stories about my love of doll pajamas.

Flutter Wings Doll Carrier
Item#DNK66 // $45

Your girl can twirl and flutter through her day with her favorite WellieWishers friend in this shiny green doll carrier. It includes a backpack for books or other treasures, and has adjustable straps for comfort. The front features a pair of glittery double-layered butterfly wings with a special ruched doll pocket in between, so that both your girl and her WellieWishers doll can be transformed into sparkly butterflies.
Okay, the person who thought this one up deserves a raise or to at least survive any culling that might be going on over at AG. Seriously, the more I look at this the more genius it is. I'm not completely sold on that shade of green being paired with Willa however once I got over that, the fact that this isn't just a carrier for the doll and thus also wings for your kid and the doll at the same time (genius), it's also a backpack? Um, yeah. I really hope there's a picture somewhere of a flock of little girls running with these on because the cuteness would kill me dead.

Garden Party Table and Chairs
Item#DNG50 // $58

The WellieWishers can play party games in the garden on this table. It has a removable flower top printed with floral vines that form a tic-tac-toe board, and a hollow tree-stump base where game pieces can be stored. The game pieces are made to look like painted garden rocks—five ladybugs and five bees. Includes two pretty garden chairs with owl and butterfly backs.
Lookit, the Wellies can get two chairs but Grace is forever alone at her little bistro. Ditto Sam and her ice cream parlor. SO SAD.
Uh, anyway. My old and ancient brain isn't really accepting the tic-tac-toe portion of the table but the bugs are cute enough. I love the owl chair and I also love that you store the little stuff in the tree stump. I... would never buy this but it's still cute enough.

Berry Sweet Snack Stand
Item#DNG54 // $28

The WellieWishers can host a garden party! A pretty stand, featuring scalloped edges and a heart-shaped floral handle, is perfect for serving pretend treats:
Two heart-shaped jam sandwiches
Two frosted cupcakes
Two clusters of yummy mixed berries

Meh. Clumped food for the Wellies makes sense and it probably also stands to reason that the cupcakes wouldn't really look all that yummy but I can't really get worked up about this. The jam sammiches look cute enough and I'm not gonna fault anyone for liking this.

And the princess outfit was previously discussed. There are charms and a bracelet and naturally socks and wellie boots, which is a pretty cute idea to have clear shoes and sell the socks as a set.

Overall? I think the Wellies are super cute but I do agree that they're priced a little high for what you get and I'm not sure how well they'll hold up (the line, not the actual dolls) once the initial newness wears off. Especially if/when H4H comes back because you literally cannot go into any thread with anyone who is even casually aware of dolls without at least two H4H comments being brought up. Which is fantastic for that line if/when they come back, since it means they haven't been forgotten and people are going to want a less expensive alternative.

That said... I don't really like most of the extra stuff for them. I'm not their target audience in any way and unlike other lines, I won't even try and kid myself otherwise. I'm really looking forward to the books, don't really know how I feel about the Amazon series, and I'm super hopeful that these do well enough to get Halloween costumes and holiday stuff but most of all, I want at least one 'regular' outfit per girl. I'll settle for like three to give me better odds of liking at least one. :p

I'm so lazy... and at this point I'm thinking maybe I should keep Emerson in her box til my birthday. Less than a week to go and I did make sure she's okay. (She's so cute!) Decisions...

I still do not see this Dora thing. Is it because she photographs orange? She's not actually orange... While Dora kind of is. I dunno. Dora's got this cartoony face and Ashlynn doesn't and I just do not see it whatsoever. Darker skin plus dark brown straight hair = Dora? Maybe it's because I'm far older than Dora's existence that I just do not see that.

I didn't mean to upset you. :( I wish I could find whatever image of Dora that has apparently set up residence in my brain and keeps making the comparison. It's definitely not classic Dora and is more the makeover Dora, but naturally now that I'm looking I got nothin'. I'm fairly sure that had they never done makeover Dora, I wouldn't be comparing them at all.

So it's likely the fact that she does photograph orange and my brain has just been lazy and made a shortcut where there isn't one.

Your Ashlyn is one of the ones that has me fence sitting because she is so pretty.
