Widget finally got to see The Avengers. I'd forgotten that when he's behaving, he's probably my favorite person to see a movie with other than maybe Ari. He spent the beginning of the movie asking when Thor was going to show up, and then he asked about the Hulk. Adorable. He kept looking at me before fully laughing at any joke, and half the movie was spent with him leaning forward with his mouth kind of open like "duuuuuuuuuuuuuude." The cutest thing ever? Maybe. Possibly. Could be!
You know what we need? Picspam! No. I'm not going to tire of this any time soon, so... um, you were warned?
Today we have Loki. Loki is quite expressive and I may have a problem, so you are warned. You are also encouraged to have a looksee and join me in my problem. It's cool, there's more than enough love for us all.

Jun. 18th, 2012 03:16 pmI'm thinking I'm going to go on a Renner binge. Possible also a Hiddleston one, as well. The problem is that neither is known for their feel good movies, which is why I've been resisting the urge thus far. Opinions? Any volunteers to marathon along with me?
Yesterday was Father's Day. I spent half of it murdering the fleas the dogs brought into the house and left to party in the living room. (Raid. It's a helluva drug.) Realized that the first time I did this had one small advantage; I had one can of Raid and some carpet thing that actually didn't smell too bad. Without the carpet thing to cut the smell of the Raid, I thought my brain was going to hemorrhage right out of my skull. (Sadly, the carpet thing worked for like, three days and then it was party time in that corner of the room while the Raid side stayed dead and continued to kill any passing bug.) I then signed the boy's card and 'wrapped' his present and put them by my door in case he popped his head in while I was sleeping. He didn't and I fell asleep sometime around noon-ish because I'd been pretty tired before I started my genocide.
I might've cried a little at the realization that it's been more than a year since my dad died and while I've thought this before, it's always been abstract and without the emotional kick to the teeth that one might expect. But then sleep took over and while it left me with a nasty headache, I feel it was preferable to the alternative.
Dreamt the cat got out onto the porch and then escaped or tried to. Woke up for dinner to find the cat missing. Luckily she was found... out on the porch. Of all the dream things to come true, it had to be that? I mean, it could be worse so my complaint list is fairly small here but still.
On the plus side, I've declared war on my hips and I think it's actually working. This is the start of week 3, I think, and I'm able to do a little more than I could at the start, but more importantly when I slipped into my jeans fresh from the dryer, they weren't super snug. It was a pretty good moment there.
AUGH. Just jammed my thumbnail and there's pain and blood and how is that even possible? Don't think...

So. I don't ship them because Thor would never, buuuuuuut if you take that angle away, this is awfully pretty. Spoilers for Thor, obviously.

Jun. 11th, 2012 10:57 amMy head. My head! It hurts. OH IT HURTS. Now that I've whined sufficiently, I'm ready to start my picspam that you didn't even know you needed. But first!
Attention! Anyone got any opinions on a Blu-Ray player? I've held out this long and then I found out that all the really good stuff from Thor that was cut? Only on the BluRay version. I hate this but I think it has finally become time for me to cave and buy one. Since I've got a birthday coming up and the boy ain't gonna buy me a toy, he might go in on a BluRay for the giant TV. He also might not, but still, I'm thinking it's time to cave.
This is where you chime in with your thoughts. Do you have one? Does it suck? Does it make you coffee and call you in the afternoon to tell you it loves you and misses you? Does your best friend have one that tried to kill them 137 times in just as many different ways? These are the things we must know!
