impy: tori from jackie's strength video (aww man mshigh)
Mattel wants all my money. *weep* First they know that come autumn, a young Impy's fancy turns to AG dolls. Granted, it's actually been sort of stuck on this since last fall, but still. Come fall, I get all twitchy and excited and the catalogs appear and it's the most glorious time of the year, dammit! And then they axe someone and I debate the frantic scrambling for their stuff. At this point in time (and it could change in another four hours) I'm content with the Felicity stuff I own. The stuff I still want will have to come from not AG, either in ebay or someone else making it.

While going through the various options I had to make a second order, I realized I have almost all the Molly/Emily outfits I want. I think I'm down to two, maybe three. (Molly's skating outfit and I know this breaks the whole "no felt!" rule but shut up. Emily's robe, which I'm on the fence about, and... maybe Molly's camp outfit or a second pair of Emily's pajamas because they're awesome.) Down to two accessories (not including Molly's/Emily's Accessories) and... that's it. Well. And the dolls when they go buh-bye. Which sounds like a lot, but isn't.

Then the avalanche of Monster High stuff continued. New pics of Gloom Beach appeared and possibly partial pics of the School Spirit line also appeared, not to mention Frankie's and Ulla D's beds. I kind of want the SS line to be fashion packs and the doll mention to be a typo or just a mistake. If so, I won't have to bother with all of them. Lagoona's and Frankie's, yes. Everyone else's? Mebbe. But if they're dolls, I'd have to seriously consider them all. On the other hand, I really want another Lagoona. So, like I said elsewhere. I'm conflicted on this one.

Back to AG, and I'll have to photograph some of this because "eeeeeee!" the cute. But for now, a mini review.
Lanie's Accessories When Lanie premiered, I knew I'd have to buy her accessories sometime whenever there was a code or a sale. Since L seems to be incredibly popular, I doubt her stuff is going to go on sale so... I snagged this. Dolls and laptops, man. Plus I think her bunny, Lulu, is adorable. There's also a bracelet that I'd forgotten about (a great surprise), and the fun pieces that fill my geeky heart with joy. I love when dolls/books let you read other people's mail, or get a look at their computers and stuff like that. Lanie has two postcards, a letter, and three computer screen-clings so you can read her email or look at two of the webpages she's looking up. I'm not saying it's necessarily worth $32, but it is worth owning if you're into these sorts of things. Also, a messenger bag where you can store most of this stuff, and another selling point. Oddly enough I didn't expect the green to be so subdued. (Lulu, or at least mine, looks EVIL. I do not think she approved of me dying my hair purple.)

Lanie's Nature Outfit: I admit it. I bought this for exactly two pieces and the rest I would probably have happily traded for her white jacket from another set. I wanted her yellow Owl shirt (it's bright, but not obnoxiously so, in person) and her rubber boots. I haven't decided which doll will try them out before we begin the Halloween outfits, but I'm thinking Sonali. There's also a "scarf" with the stupidest design ever. Really, Mattel, you couldn't just let kids tie a scarf, you had to do it for them and then have it velcro? Wtf is this? (I knew about this before, but it's just as dumb in person as I thought it would be.) And a pair of denim capris rounds out the set. These are blah, but I suspect that's the point. We'll see how well they play with others. Again, not necessarily worth the price tag, but free shipping and the look on Mums' face when someone appears wearing the owl shirt? Worth it.

Bitty Scarlet Dress: Bought for Bitty of the Damned. The dress is actually prettier than I imagined, what with the lace that you can't really make out in the preview pictures online. I'll let you know how it looks on. I'm torn between wanting BotD to look cute and wanting her to look horrific. (also has a hat, shoes, tights, and a Bitty Bear activity book. I can still do a maze without even trying because the path lights up in my head.)

Holiday Accesories for Dolls This I was most looking forward to and this I was most "meh" about in person. I think that once I add the extras to the Scarlet & Snow outfit I bought last year, it'll all come together. There are three pairs of earrings: one "pierced" and two sticker sets that slide around on their backing so I wonder how well they stick to the ears. Hmm. These are what comes inside the pretty gift box where the silver should be more flashy and less understated in order to truly go with the red. The purse is a purse. It's pretty but nothing in this set would go in it, so... Bracelet is pretty enough, but again it'll depend on how it looks with the outfits already on hand. The book is cute although the print is so tiny that you cannot read the flap jacket without squinting horribly. Free shipping and the fear that it would sell out prompted this to be snagged immediately.

Overall, what I love, I really and truly love. What is meh isn't "meh" enough to make me wish I hadn't spent the money, and I can't really wait to play, so... :D

^-- from yesterday. Well. Monday, now that it's officially midnight. Whatever. I'm lazy and there was a storm TO END ALL STORMS and well. You get what you get.

Pictures will appear sometime later today if I find back-up batteries. Oh yeah, good times.

Also, it's October. I should not be dying of heatstroke at the moment. What the hell is this?
