Finished Supernatural S4.



...You know all the shit I gave new!Ruby? I take some of it back. Not because she suddenly morphed into badass Ruby or anything. She didn't. But I think the sight of Katie!Ruby stabbing everyone in the back (even telegraphing it so freakin' obviously towards the end) would've broken my poor little heart. So... way to take one for the team, I guess? I can't say I'm surprised at Ruby turning out to be using Sam because if there's one thing Supernatural's been pretty good at, it's sticking to the rules it chooses to lay down.

Drinking demon blood, particularly when it would also be their host's blood, crossed a line that Sam should've known not to cross. Without Dean, bad things happen. With him, well, they still do.

Ari was right. The prophet Chuck was worth the wait although I began to get a bit of a headache in the same way I do with time travel when I try and actually wrap my head around it. Bonus points given for the ick factor on Wincest but points off for mocking the fact that it's true: the episodes get really good when someone's been broken down. I know, I know. :P

Annnnnnnyway, S4 was better than I thought it would be. Ruby was a general failure, but I did appreciate the twist that wasn't really a twist where Ruby set Sam up. Points given for Adam and then taking him away just when I remembered that not all sibling additions make the show suck (I remain one of the fifteen or so people on Earth who liked Dawn on Buffy) proving your timing is frequently better than I give credit for.

I still don't fully get the massive collective lust going on for Castiel, but at least I'm one step closer to getting it. Or not. But I appreciate that the backup characters get time to shine and that they aren't always pushed aside for the Winchester boys. Well. Played.

Anna is definitely my vote for best addition for the year. Too bad she went poof. I demand more! Now.

That's right. I end with Lucy on his way up out of the cage and I'm whining about Anna. Brilliant.


God I'm tired. Might be the drinks. Might be the short nap earlier. Might be a combo platter?

I didnt like and still dont like the newer Ruby.
Dont think Genevieve Cortese is a good actor.

I much preffered Katie Cassidy as Ruby, well she still is Ruby to me. I loved her!

I do like how she screwed Sam over, He buggs me in S4.

I also like Dawn in Buffy!

I haven't seen Genevieve in anything else other than possibly promos for Wildfire (I think that was her ABC Fam show?) so I'm not sure if it's her acting or simply how she chose to play Ruby that drives me bonkers. Either way, she ain't Ruby. Katie Cassidy is. Curses, Melrose Place!

Sam needed a beatdown more often than not in S4. A little worried about how S5 will treat him, which is why I haven't found the ones I taped yet.

I love Katie as Ruby, I loved it when she was in the episode. But now I just want rid of Ruby.

They got rid of Katie due to budget aparently, so we get a pooey Ruby instead.

Ive allways been a Dean fan but In S4 her was fantastic!

Yeah I wonder, not watched S5.
Ive been watching all the seasons over on DVD.

Dawn was great.
Shame they didnt make her a slayer and do a series with her as the star.

I just figured when they had Lilith take over Ruby they'd be going the "we need a new actress" route. Didn't know it was a money issue, particularly since her other shows haven't done too well. Or the one that did got Heather Locklear to come in and play Alpha Bitch which... seemed to be what Katie was doing. Not entirely sure. Never managed to watch any of the new Melrose Place.

I love, love, love Dean. Which is weird since Dean is the sort of dude I'd kick in the kneecaps, but I guess that's why fiction is better sometimes. Dean needed a damn hug or something, Sam, not you being all secret-y and harping on how weak he was. Dude! I still don't fully buy Dean cracking after 30 years on the rack, but they needed their Apocalypse to start so... meh.

It irked me how much hate Dawn got, and if you stood up for her back when Buffy was on air, you got yourself beaten. Still have the bruises on those battles. One of the only good things about the massive Slayers in Training ... thing was the Xander and Dawn bonding. Siiiiiigh. Dawn would've been a nifty slayer, but I'd take that moment over Dawn the Slayer in a heartbeat. Too bad the comics continued. to. screw. Dawn. over. Grr!

Yeah I never got that either. There is no way Dean would break and come down off the rack.

Hahah! Im glad I dint get involved in the Dawn defence. Cant be doing with nutjobs.

My all time favorite character was Anya, it was the total humor I loved aswell.

I do wish they hadnt brought Rilley in, or if they did, they could of had some act to play him.
