Yesterday the mailgods were quite kind to me. Not only did I make it out to the mailbox in time to return my latest Netflix movie (Psych) but I also got my new Build-a-Bear kitty from Cass. :D Yes. I do have one other BaB, and yes, she is also a Hello Kitty.

But this is the 35th anniversary Kitty. I think she works really well as a fairy.
(She also sent Widget an arctic fisherman outfit.)

Which I just remembered I could show instead of tell you. Behold! If he looks a little less than thrilled, it's because he was/is jealous of me getting another BaB, despite the fact that we both own two, only one of his talks (not that I want mine to, but if you don't tell him that he still sees it as a plus), and he's got way more clothes for his than I do. Between my two, they have three outfits. One fancy purple dress, one pair of PJs, and the fairy dress that the wings are apart of. Jealousy! I don't know, I can't really fault him for it. I still get jealous over the stupidest things and sometimes I can't help but be petty no matter how hard my adult self is trying to wrangle my inner-brat.

Anyway. I distract you with a cat licking himself. You may love him from afar. He would invite you to love him upclose and personal but it's a bit of a journey for most of you. It's okay. He loves you anyway, because the pig? He loves to love. He is an affection whore.
Widget also brought us our book-club books from the previous Scholastic offerings. Sadly they always hit at the time I have the least amount of money to throw their way after the first or second of the year. But hell, I was going to own the new BSC books and this way seemed a good idea.
So, lookit. "New" BSC books.
I'll either edit this post with the small list of changes or make a new one. I know a lot of people were freaking out about the very thought of any updates occurring, but the only two things I see updated so far (besides the occasional re-wording of something which is only noticeable when you read both at the same time) are Stacey's perms are now "styled" and they don't Xerox things, they copy them. Yeah. No cellphones, the fashions are word-for-word the same oh. Wait. I lied. Kristy's great idea introduces us to the lie that Kristy would wear a skirt and a blouse to school but by the end of the series we all know Kristy's in jeans and a sweatshirt, right. Well, this go round Kristy's in jeans and a t-shirt to begin with. But Stacey's and Claudia's fashion choices are so far untouched and I'm 90% done with the first book.
