Attention! Would any of you be interested in 'hosting' a Flat Stanley for my nephew's class project? His teacher will mail you a Flat Stanley, instructions, and pretty much everything you'll need, I do believe. You'd take FS out, show him your town, take a picture or twelve... I dunno, probably not get him drunk, though. That would be awkward afterward. It would mean a lot to Widget and to me (cuz then I could gloat about your awesomeness, you see) and it could be fun. If nothing else, you'd get to impress a class full of second graders.

Don't think I'm a complete dolt, but I totally had to look up what a Flat Stanley was. And I call myself a children's book editor!!

I'd totally do this. Flat Stanley can visit me, we'll go on trips to some New York landmarks and maybe I can even bring him around to some of the children's book publishing companies where my friends work (like Scholastic). Hey, why not, right? I don't have a job or anything. LOL!

If not for the years of Scholastic book orders (and the fact that Widge scored two $1 FS books recently) I'd have no idea who he was either. Apparently he's a BIG thing because they'll be using him as a teaching opportunity (gasp!) for the rest of the year.
